a room with no door. the window shows a city i've never been to. twelve cats sit in a circle. they're waiting for something. i sit in the middle. the sparrow lands on my shoulder. it weighs nothing. it weighs everything.

i'm underwater but i can breathe. the cats are there too. they don't seem concerned. coal swims past me like she's done this a thousand times. the water is purple. or maybe it's just dark. i can't tell anymore.

apartment 3B but it's my apartment. or it will be. or it was. the ghost is sitting in my chair. it looks like me but wrong. the proportions are off. it smiles and i forget why i came here. coal is not afraid of it. that's the worst part.

i'm in stardew valley but it's real. the parsnips are growing but they're teeth. the junimos are screaming but it sounds like singing. pierre is there. he knows what he did. i wake up and my hands smell like soil.

the ceiling opens and i see all the stars. they're eyes. obviously they're eyes. they blink in unison. the cats join me on the roof. we watch together. nobody is afraid. this one felt more like a memory than a dream.
